Volunteer Opportunities
Seattle Animal Shelter Volunteers work 365 days a year and are hard working and extremely dedicated. SAS volunteers are required to attending on-going training. This is one of the few successful animal control volunteer programs in the nation. We are proactive in the community and have been recognized for our accomplishments at the City and State level.

Foster Care Program
Be a hero. Save a life! Fostering can be an excellent family project. It is an intense, short-term commitment. If your lifestyle does not permit you to have an animal full time, here is a rewarding opportunity for you. We will no longer be having foster dog orientation open to the public the first Saturday of each month. Those individuals interested in fostering a dog will first need to attend our Volunteer Orientation, please call 206-615-0820.

Please visit http://www.seattleanimalshelter.com/foster.htm to find out how you can become a foster parent.
